Political Cartoons by Dr. Seuss
Although Dr. Seuss is most famous for his funny rhymes, he is also famous for his political cartoons. Dr. Seuss has created over 200 different political cartoons covering WWII. Here are a few political cartoons by Dr. Seuss.

1. It is estimated that around 1.5 million children have died during the Holocaust.
2. World War II was the most destructive war ever. It cost the most money, and had the most deaths.
3. From 1939 to 1945, the Allies dropped about 3.4 million tons of bombs. That means that it was on average, 27,700 tons per month.
4. There were 40,000 men who served on U-Boats during WWII, and only 10,000 returned back.
5. The survivors of BOTH bombings of Japan (Hiroshima and Nagasaki) are called niju hibakusha. This literally means “explosion-affected people."
6. The Nazis are estimated to have killed about 12 million people, and about 6 million of those were Jews killed during the Holocaust.
